Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by ALS Consulting ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting an intake form or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Services

ALS Consulting provides algorithmic bias auditing, disparate impact analysis, and AI compliance consulting services for organizations subject to or voluntarily complying with AI hiring regulations. Our services include, but are not limited to:

Algorithmic bias analysis of AI-assisted hiring tools
Disparate impact testing using the 4/5ths rule and Z-score statistical methods
Jurisdiction compliance assessments (NYC LL144, CO SB205, IL AIVIA, CA AB2930, EU AI Act)
Certified findings reports and remediation recommendations

2. Engagement and Payment

Engagements are initiated upon receipt of a completed intake form and confirmed payment. Pricing is as stated on our Pricing page at the time of engagement. All prices are in USD and exclusive of applicable sales tax.

NY state and NYC clients are subject to an 8.875% sales tax applied at checkout. Tax obligations for other jurisdictions are the client's responsibility.

Payment is due in full prior to commencement of audit work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Data Handling and Confidentiality

All hiring data submitted to ALS Consulting is anonymized prior to processing. We do not store raw personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically:

Candidate names and identifiers are replaced with anonymized tokens
Date fields are reduced to month/year granularity
All data is processed in compliance with applicable privacy laws

We treat all client data as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except as required by law or as necessary to deliver the agreed services.

4. Deliverables and Turnaround

Standard turnaround is 7–10 business days from receipt of all required data. Expedited processing (when purchased) receives priority scheduling. Timelines are estimates and may vary based on data quality and complexity.

Deliverables include a certified findings report in PDF format. Enterprise tier clients also receive a discovery call, results debrief, and 30 days of post-audit support.

5. Limitations of Liability

ALS Consulting's audit reports are informational in nature and do not constitute legal advice. We are not a law firm. Clients should consult qualified legal counsel regarding regulatory compliance obligations.

Our liability for any claim arising from services rendered is limited to the fees paid for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.

6. Intellectual Property

All methodologies, report templates, and proprietary analysis frameworks used by ALS Consulting remain our intellectual property. Findings reports delivered to clients are licensed for internal use only and may not be redistributed or resold.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
